I'm in far west Texas (actually just across the border in New Mexico). Our last accordion repair genius died not too long ago and I'm having difficulty finding someone to service my accordion. I've heard of one guy in Dallas who speaks only Spanish, and, so far, I've had no luck getting him to return my calls. Do you guys have any ideas? My accordion that will need service is a Titano keyboard accordion, with 41 keys and 120 bass buttons. There is a middle-range C reed that sounds slightly even if no buttons are pressed. I'd appreciate any ideas you guys might have.

Their tuning & repair operation is incredible... but not cheap... so you might want to get an estimate before you jump. This includes some of the big name guys like Beau Jocque (now deceased, of course). I own one of Larry's boxes and I am quite pleased with it. I have also had him do repairs on another makers box, and was also pleased with the results. -David

It's sounding like I'd almost be as close to go to Grand Junction, Colo., which is my only current alternative. You've heard of the sticks? We're it. I'm about 1 1/2 hours from Lubbock, and I'm about 7 hours from Dallas, right around 11 hours from Houston and about 9 hours from the closest spot on the Lousiana border, I think. I am pleased to hear of Larry Miller, though, and Gabbanelli remains an option. Thanks, guys. John

He's fixed a number of my piano accordions, done it well, fast, and not too expensive considering the work and knowledge necissary. I bet it is an easy repair.

I remember my first piano accordion that I purchased on ebay and the shipping popped some springs and levers and a couple reeds were stuck. The accordion was $275 and the local accordion doc wanted $300 and three weeks to go through it. I took it home and pulled it apart and put everything back in about 3hrs. and the thing worked fine.
